Alice Stanley is a director, playwright, actor, and musician in Baltimore, MD. Alice is the Founding Artistic Producer of Cohesion Theatre Company, a theatre dedicated to collaboration and representing marginalized voices. Alice has directed at Cohesion, Baltimore Shakespeare Factory, Spotlighters, and The Strand Theater; has had pieces produced by Cohesion, Rapid Lemon Productions, Fells Point Corner Theater, and The Interrobang Theater Company. Alice was awarded Best Director from Baltimore City Paper's 2016 Best of Baltimore. Alice also won the Creative Baltimore Fund - Mayor's Individual Artist Award, a $5,000 prize to put on the Trans* Voices Workshop Series at Cohesion. This series included one piece that Alice directed and another Alice wrote, and won Best Stage Series from Baltimore City Paper's 2016 Best of Baltimore issue. Alice was interviewed for and featured by the New York Times and USA Today for their direction of a gender-bending grunge-era production of Shakespeare's Hamlet.
