I struggle to define myself as an artist despite being a writer, educator, visual essayist, curator, and designer. Being an artist is not just about having a gift but also practicing and sharing it with others. As Oscar Wilde said, "The artist is nothing without the gift, but the gift is nothing without the work." However, like teaching, I am still determining whether my creations will resonate with others.

Starr Page has her MA in Museum Studies and has interned at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C.  She has her MFA in Community Arts and resides in Baltimore City.
