Przeswity, rozwidla ("It grows and bifurcates until the whole")

Site-specific installation, mixed media

Within the interdisciplinary approach to the practice of drawing the viewer’s perception of the work is directly linked to their own physical movement. The work functions as ‘extended’ drawing viewers experience by walking in, moving around, and defining their own perspectives of space and time. The time invested in making the work, allowing for internalizing and contemplation, becomes a part how the work is viewed and experienced. While viewing audiences follow trails; crossing, connecting or establishing their own. The resulting piece is a synthesis of the viewer’s and maker’s movements around the piece and their emotional dimensions within the physical space.

I collect and translate empirical data into subjective compositions to reflect parallels I see and reveal recurring patterns. For this projects, I compiled an inventory of satellite imagery of weather patterns over Chesapeake region and processed them into digital tracings that were interchangeably used for painting and creation of 3d shapes.
