RevelationThis painting was selected for a curated exhibition, "Into the Light," to benefit Friends of the Rail Park in Philadelphia, by Bridgette Mayer Johnson, owner of Bridgette Mayer Gallery in Phiadelphia. The piece was sold and I am happy to have been part of this great project to transform unused railways into beautiful public use spaces in Philly.

Views from My Rooms
A few of the hundreds of sunset photos I began taking on an almost daily basis in 2013 and posting to Facebook. All of these were shot from my apartment windows with a small cyber-shot camera and are completely unedited. Most of this group was created in 2020-2022.
Sketches
Drawing from life is meditation. It informs the artistic process in every way, regardless of the style of an artist's work.

Self Portrait Aug 7 2022A new self-portrait from direct observation (looking into a mirror). I try to do one every couple of years. This one was especially hard. I need to wear my glasses to see close details and draw them but did not want to include my glasses in the portrait. My hair has grown since my FB profile pic. Luckily, the light was diffuse so only a minimum of wrinkles were visible. 12" x 9", conte crayon on toned Strathmore paper, 2022
