Taming of the Shrew
I collaborated with Clint Herring on Synetic Theater?'s first major usage of multimedia on their widely successful "Taming of the Shrew," eighth in Synetic’s popular and consistently rewarding series of Shakespeare works enacted without words. Premiered at Landsburgh Theatre, Washington DC.

Home of the Soldier
Multimedia & projection design for world premiere of a new text-based play,Home of the Soldier, commemorates the heroism of our armed forces. The story follows a young American through the landscape of war and is a powerful story of honor, courage and love.
The work I did for "Home of the Soldier" is different from my usual touch of fantasy and abstract style, but took a more cinematic approach to compliment the overall story and style. I created film, animation, and VFX for the show.
There were challenges, some expected and some exceeded expectations, but overall, the show turned out awesome.

Jekyll and Hyde
Multimedia & video installation design for Synetic Theater's signature silent adaptation of Jekyll and Hyde. I designed an installation piece utilizing multiple computer monitors, television screens and rear projected screen. Contents were made using videos shot on green screen and animations created from original and found clips.
Synetic Theater takes on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic Victorian tale of good and evil, adding our signature physicality and darkly dramatic aesthetic. Updating the story's setting from 19th century London to modern-day America, Synetic's version puts a new spin on the strange case of the charming and sociable Dr. Jekyll and his sinister friend, accused murderer Mr. Hyde.
?The show premiered on September 20, 2012 to raving reviews from the press.

The Tempest
Multimedia content and projection design and production of Syneitc Theater's ninth installment of its renowned "Silent Shakespeare Series." The most ambitious multimedia project Synetic has embarked yet.
---------

On the water-filled stage, Synetic’s visual poetry will bring Prospero’s magical island to life. A romantic drama of epic proportions emerges from the depths as spirits, monsters, witches, drunken fools and lithe lovers contort and cavort with all the passion and bravado you can imagine.
With The Tempest, Synetic presents the ninth installment in its renowned “Silent Shakespeare” series. Expect BIG things with this production: stunning set design complete with a water extravaganza, larger-than-life visual, acrobatics and the remarkably visceral experience Synetic is known for.

Sample Multimedia Scenes from The TempestTiny sample of the multimedia and projection design for the wildly successful run of Synetic Theater's silent adaptation of "The Tempest." What ended up on stage turned out to be quite a different approach to what was story boarded, but it turned out beautifully. The show closed to a week of sold out performances and DC critics hailing praises.
