Arlington Art Center Spring Solo 2014
For my installation at Arlington Art Center, I laid out a site-specific navigable grid. The viewer was able enter and exit the path at his or her own discretion. I attempted to engage the viewer’s curiosity though color, pattern, and texture. With implied mobility, static tension and the placement of individual pieces, I invited the viewer to navigate the spaces between, around, and within.
This new series of sculptures is a continuance of my studio research of signs, beacons, buoys and the navigable pathways where they exist. By using singular objects in combination with images and patterns in repetition, I reduce the recognizable characteristics by means of sanding, painting, and polishing.

Sondheim Artscape Prize Finalist Exhibition
For the ninth annual Sondheim Artscape Prize Exhibition at The Walters Art Museum, I executed a site specific installation that corresponded to the gallery space. The layout encouraged visitors to meander in and around the sculptures.
